Adding resolution?
Adding resolution?
Just wondering how some of you guys are adding resolution to the maps? I see it mainly with the timing map, but not so with the fuel map, so is it a timing map only thing? Just trying to smooth my cam power delivery. The power kicks in hard with the stock turbo around 3500 and that's the only place I'm getting 3-5 counts of knock, but timing won't help it. It's not consistent knock either.
Trying to see if I can add some resolution and smooth it out. Thanks.

(...yes, like the foglights)

You can sacrifice resolution at a rev/load range to increase resolution in another. Just change the load or rpm numbers at the top/side of the table. You can't just increase resolution though, since the table size can't be changed

Also since you have a 03-04 Evo and running 91 octane, I would suggest running a little less timing at 3500-4000 then you would think. Every single 03-04 Evo I have seen come through the shop is very sensitive in this area compared to 05+. I've had to run some with 0* there.
