Issue logging AFRs with ZT2 and Evoscan

So I've got the wideband all hooked up correctly and can read my AFR, Boost, and EGT with the software that comes with the ZT2. The problem is EvoScan 2.2 won't read it. I've got it set to com 6 due to all my previous ports are taken, and it's set the same in EvoScan. I've confirmed the logging is working by using the Zeitronix software.

Anything else I can check? Could it be just some sort of incompatability with Evoscan and the serial to USB adapter I have? I just don't understand why the zeitronix software will log it but Evoscan can't seem to read it...

Any ideas are appreciated.

Make sure you don't have the zeitronix software open when you have evoscan open. Also make sure you have the right port selected in evoscan.

2.2 has no wideband support and 2.1 just flat out sucks ***. Your best bet is to go back to .99 it actually works. Or you could fix all the errors in the data.xml file for 2.1 good luck.

Yeah, I've got the correct com port selected and it's not being reserved by the Zeitronix software...

V2.2 was the only version I could get when I purchased it a few months ago.

Any suggestions on where I can find some previous versions that are working a little bit better? Frustrating being that I can log everything but afr with Evo scan, makes things take just that much longer to get the data together...

Also, I have to use COM port 6-7 for the zeitronix, does the earlier versions of EvoScan support those com ports?

I've been having issues with the ZT2's AFR and boost logging is lagging almost 6 full seconds behind the rest of the datalogging in evoscan with v2.1 but not all of the time.

this is also happening to me but im using zt2 & mitsulogger. i haven't tested it again if it is still like this because of the rain. i was thinking maybe its a setting or something(the baudrate of the com ports maybe.) if there are other people who have encountered this and fixed this maybe you can share how u fixed it.

need a lil help...

ok so I had a zt-2 w/ lcd screen installed yesterday, but I can NOT get it to work w/ evoscan... It wont even log @ all! It starts to connect and disconnect right away... I have checked COM ports, checked the external wb box, I have tried checking all of the zt stuff @ the bottom of evoscan... (2.1) un installed 2.1, for 2.5 and there was no change, and not only that, but there were no files for evoscan, just the program. No saved data logs, etc.

I can use the zeitronix software, the LCD reads, but to log in Evoscan is very important to me!

Was this not installed properly? Is it a matter of switching a wire? I dont even know what exactly was done...

I have read the front and rear 02 thread by MRFRED, and might have to go that route, but the installer had no clue what I was talking about, and I dont completely understand it yet... I have the patch in an .xml file, made all of the value changes, saved the rom, but dont know if I should take it upon myself...(should say, scared to *** somethin up)

Did you have the ZT2 software opened at the same time, because it can't log the ZT2 if its opened. The primary data is the External Wideband AF so just try getting that to log first. in order to log any other ZTX features the The External Wideband AF always has to be logging first. Its like the gateway tot he other logging data.

I did not have both programs running @ the same time. So I should un check all of the other zt stuff? I have tried w/ just the "external wb afr" w/ out checking any of the other ztx stuff and same I was thinking that since the "user" wire was connected, that maybe that should be checked as well... Im sorta at a loss, I was told it should work...

you could try getting the mitsulogger and see if that works. make sure you select the correct com port when trying to connect.

I could have sworn this was supposed to be an easy install, and I have seen many people logging AFR w/ evoscan... WTF? I was told it is probobly a "vista" problem, but I dont believe that...

Has any1 else, even encountered this problem??? most of the issues I have read about were the com ports and reading in volts... And almost certain the com ports are matching! (played w/ them a couple times) I will check again tonight! havent found any "fix's" for this issue... I need some help guys, newbie here...

It does work with 2.5 perfectly, I log every ZTX function with my v2.5 with zero issues, even over 30psi of boost with no error. Did you go into the device manager and confirm the com port # is says goes to your USB cable? For now I would just get the WB AFR logging to work, then the other stuff will definitely work afterward.

Ok now Im really feeling dumb... to get to "device manager" I would need to enter control panel/(system)/hardware/device manager... I enter my control panel and there is no "system" He did it 2-3 times yesterday...WTF? I believe theyre both on COM 1.

Another question... When you installed 2.5, did you get all of the folders. saved data logs, etc.? He did it yesterday and no files. I tried un-installing/re-installing 2 more times later on, and no files, just the install, set up and the program... weird
