Best place to mount knock sensor
Best place to mount knock sensor
Due the the continuous knock detected by the stock ecu at partial throttle that can't be tuned out by running richer/less timing/more timing etc, I have gotten a set of det cans to try and listen if its genuine knock. Where is the best place to mount the Bosch knock sensor that comes with the det cans so that false knocks won't be picked up?

i was also wondering this as i want to get an aftermarket knock sensor to pick up actual knock.....but one question though..........
can you somehow disable the stock knock sensor when installing the bosch one so as the car wont pull timing or fuel when it senses knock........??
it would be idea to hook up the bosch knock to the ecu so the ecu will run to the safe map when it senses actual knock

okay but what if i wanna use the bosch knock sensor to tell the ecu to pull timing or fuel in case of knock.....
i dont wanna set them to 0 and then get knock and not be able to have the ecu correct itself.......

Great bit of kit, i use the KS3 along with the Analyser Pro. You wont be able to feed the OE ECU a signal from the Bosch Wideband Sensors, but after setting up your ks3 to the correct frequency (using calculator for piston diameter) there is an audio output socket that could be used to send the signal to the OEM ecu using a simple patch cable.
ecuflasher, do you have a ks3 or just the Analyzer Pro? I have a similar problem with high partial throttle knock on a built motor. I wanted to pick up the ks3 but I'm afraid it can be fooled by phantom knock just like stock ecu... any chance of that?
I have Analyser Pro and I used it to hear whether the knocks logged at partial throttle are just phantom knocks. Seems to me that they are cause I can hear the induced knocks @ high load high timing but not the knocks @ partial throttle.
