Yeah I'm gonna make a seperate .exe that has a small footprint for those who don't need the xtra features. that will just do the bear minimum features for logging to csv. and it will use the same settings data.xml so you can set it up in the full evoscan, and run it in the tiny footprint exe for maximum dyno logging performance.
logging speed is already imperative to EvoScan, you cant get any faster with 15625 baudrate I'm sorry to say. the only slow part is the polling of the USB host port. i have benchmarked it hundreds of times, on the electronics oscilliscope, the vehicle ecu is already going as fast as it can go. But you can rewrite the SH7052 ecu kernel to go faster, but I dont think anyone here is interested in spending that much time just to get 30% faster when the baudrate mod to 62500 already increases it as fast as the current evo7/8/9 ecu code can currently go.

Next biggest benefit to me, and hopefully everyone else, would be to have "logging sets". There would be maybe 4-5 buttons with hotkeys that allow "one button" changes in logging parameters, .e.g., which items are logged, whether the data are logged to screen, color of items in the logging window, etc. This would make it much easier to switch while driving (and in general) between say, cruise logging and WOT logging.
