Turning off knock sensor under certain conditions?
Would it be possible to do this so that false knocks can be eliminated during low load or low RPM? Transiting into open loop at loadcell 70/80 does help in minimizing the false knocks but in the higher gears, I find myself cruising in open loop as well. This will be a very helpful patch for those running without balance shafts or have a noisy valvetrain/clutch etc
Here's an example of the ridiculous knocks that I'm getting while easing on the throttle during cruising. The octane number doesn't budge but the timing is pulled severely.

I agree that it is very important to figure out more about the knock filters and how they work.
In my opinion one of the only lingering limitations of the stock ECU compared to an AEM is the ability to set custom knock filters on the AEM. This is the only thing that would hold me back from running stock ECU on a built motor.
If only I knew how to dissasemble ECU code.

Is there a way to make it so that you can log to see if there is knock while also preventing the ECU from recognizing knock.
Sort of turning the knock sensor off but only for timing purposes and leaving it on from logging purposes.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=349239 ---------------------- Thing is, that knock may be real... you have to think about it's integration with systems like this: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...&postcount=122

Not the best idea, but if you have to do it, ya have to do it!
