you can even bump up the "load threshold" so it wont flash when putting around town...
you know it does it at random times...today it didn't flash at all and I got on it...but I know that its done it before just by regular driving and not even stepping on it...I don't know what the deal is...but its not affecting the car in any negative way as far as I can tell...its just very random...

Sounds like phantom knock. Did the tuner tell you what the setting is?

JB set mine up at 7 counts. I let him do the modding of the ROM since Im not comfortable rewriting xml.

I have no idea to be honest with you...the tuner assured me that its normal but I know little when it comes to these cars...he has a very good reputation around here that's why I went to him along with my buddy...he did show me the log and it had 0 knocks...so yeah it does seem like its a phantom knock out of nowhere...but I was told that that's normal too...I guess I feel better now...

post your ROM, if you can and let the us take a look. Maybe that the knock threshold is to low or the load is to low.

Evo's have a tendency to show some knock on the first WOT pull when I car has been off or cruising for a decent amount of time. Usually after that first pull, knock goes away. Its boggled many of our minds as to what causes this but we all seem to just work around it. You should have 2 levels of flashing CEL, a slow blink and a fast blink. If you see it flashing VERY fast, you're getting a fair amount of knock. This is of course if the tuner is using Tephra's patch...which I'd bet money on.

Knock Cell +100. Your Threashhold is problably set to a low load # that is why you are seeing int during cruise. You dont want to see it flash during WOT.

What is the slow flash set at?
What is the fast flash set at?

I feel that you need to be informed of your ROM settings if not you have no clue what you are looking at. Forcing you to come on here and start a thread.

It does blink fast...but than again I never saw a slow blink...but who knows...maybe its a slow blink and I never saw a fast one...lol...its the same kinda of a blink everytime...i think it flashes twice very quickly...but not all the time...so does that mean its bad or something? But almost never at WOT...I think maybe couple times I saw it blink at higher RPM's going from 3rd to 4th...doing about 80MPH and then it would disappear...I mostly see the flashing just crusing around...

yeah...i don't know the answers to those questions...sorry...what is the fix for this? even if my original tune had 0 knocks...how come all of a sudden it would have knocks? does it change by itself or something? I am confused...I had not done anything to the car...its bone stock before and after the tune...

Invest in a tactrix cable or find a friend with one. Download Ecuflash and you will be able to see what the ROM has in it or be able to post it to the forums.

I kind of had the same issue with my oil light. Every once and awhile it would blink to the beat of the cams when I was at a red light, but it would only happen some times. Well i brought it to a local shop to get it looked at, and they said one of the times I did my tranny and transfer case fluids I must have gotten some liquid on it and cause it to slightly short out. We replaced the sensor it never happened again. Hope this helps!

Just having worn out spark plugs will increase the possibility of knock. There are a ton of factors that can change after a tune that would create knock. Most are small issues. This is why the flashing CEL on knock is such a nice feature. People can have their car tuned in a certain load area with a fresh air filter and then as it gets clogged the load range could change. That, plus the turbo might have to work harder to achieve the same airflow, creating higher air temps which can lead to detonation. Not too mention a faulty PCV valve which can allow oil to enter the intake system, coating the inside of the intercooler lowering its effective efficiency and making its way into the combustion chamber as well. Oil will lower the effective octane of the fuel.

As you can see, small things can cause knock to appear on an otherwise good tune.
