Well, I figured out why I was getting breakup. Turns out my BOV was leaking pretty bad. I called on the old school DSMer in me and crushed my BOV today.
First run out the car hit 33psi, and that was with error correction kicking in and yanking 10% wgdc.
Was leaking just a bit.

It also fixed my rich dip in AFR at peak boost that has been plaguing me.
Nice, two birds with one stone.
IX/MR bov? Let me know if you notice any extra bucking on the highway on long uphill stretches, i.e. the same issues Forge and other aftermarket bov's exhibit (flutter). I'm thinking about doing this too.
I have crushed mine and I do notice more flutter. If I'm in 4th going up a hill at light throttle and I let off the car will buck bad. I have learned not to come of the throttle slowly but rather to realease all at once - stopps the bucking.
razor - I am supprised a leaking BOV would cause breakup. I can understand the rich condition at peak boost but why breakup?

It always amazed me how "safe to the point of unsafe" they do this stuff from the factory.
I thought there was some reason people were avoiding crushing the IX/JDM valves. There is also the stopleak kit that puts a nipple near the bottom of the valve to help it hold... that might fix your problem with less surge/bucking.
I was worried about my stock SE BOV leaking now that I'm starting to tune E85. I opted to go the Synapse route, and its not nearly as big as I thought. I'll let you know how it works after installing it this weekend.

I crushed mine a bit aggressive. I crushed it until the nipple hit the ridge. I would imagine half of that might do the trick as well.
I bench tested 2 of the Greddy Typr-RS bov's and they leak at 29-30psi with only the lighter of the two springs. Keeping both springs in causes insane compressor surge. ITs a 50 or 55mm valve I think, I need to find a BOV with a larger valve but holds up to 35psi, to help with any surging.
I think my bov is leaking past 25psi (jdm evo)..Whenever I go past 25psi now the intake/bov makes a surging sound like it is opening and closing rapidly but not to the point of the car actually shaking, goes away when I turn the boost down..I'll probably crush mine a bit and see if it helps, otherwise I may go with the synapse.
