car stalls with a/c on
car stalls with a/c on
I know its a cam issue (cosworth) because it didn't do this until the cams were put in.
My tuner fixed it somewhat, but without it doing it all the time its hard to tune it out.
Here is what happens car runs fine with ac on and off,,,
however, with a/c on sometimes when I press clutch in and come to a stop the rpms drop to low and it stalls out... sometimes will making slow turns off roads which isn't good cuz the power steering.
If I ease at a light and stay in gear until I come to almost a complete stop its good, it seems it does it mostly when I see a red light push in clutch and quickly stop or when I do this and make a turn.
it never does it with a/c off..
if anyone can point me in the direction in ecu flash to correct this I'd really be appreciate it.

What I noticed was increase the ISCV table in the 77 and 82*c zones 10 points, and adjust the idle in the table. This works 90% of the time but you may find that some hardware adjustments are needed.
step 1 check your BISS screw.
- warm up your cra
- use evoscan 2.5 to "Activate the SAS MODE"
- check the IDLE, if its less than 800 use the BISS screw to raise it a bit...

This actually solved my a/c stalling issue that was driving me crazy.
BTW, my car was automatically shut off everytime I was activating the SAS. I set mine to 900 +/- 50 RPMs with some S2s and a built head.

Got hot today a/c was running.. still noticing it drops... don't stall everytime, but when it does its kind of dangerous.
I had the same problem... Here's my idle stepper values that rectified it...

Those are the "desired ISCV initial step" maps. Target idle with AC on is 852 and 844. I have no issues with stalling with the AC on anymore.

thanks man , i'll give this a try and report back.
well winter and fall have passed,, and turned the a/c on and still having problems with it stalling with a/c on and depressing clutch..
the rpms just fall way to low and it cuts off... never does this with a/c off.
I did the sas as stated above.. my idle is around 1000, it cut car off so i cranked it back up and its about 1000..
any other ideas...... before it gets really freakn hot...

- Check idle with SAS screw (EVOScan 2.5 -> actuators -> SAS Mode or Speed Adj. Screw mode in EVOScan 2.6 Beta)
- Check in your map "Idle Stability Timing Control" (value: 128 - 8 - 8)
- Check the map of idle and if necessary set it to >=900 rpm
Good luck

check SAS...
when in evoscan.. it cause the car to cut off, once starting car. it idle around 1000rpms... so assume that the BISS screw is good
I have my ac 1 and ac 2 set to 1200 also.
Im still messing around with it, but i'm begining to think i'll have to take it somewhere to get this straight. I did last summer, but go figure I couldn't reproduce it cuz it doesn't do it all the time..
I'm trying to changin my driving habits, i basically have to stay in a gear until I'm almost stopped before pushing in the clutch..
