Help Reading Rom
I am familiar with ecuflash and how it works etc but for some reason I can not get the program to read an existing map on my laptop(dell).
I have to use my girl's Mac to read and save a rom, then use my dell to log and tune, so it's annoying.
Do you guys know why I can write and not read roms, or point me towards what I might have done wrong installing ecuflash?
When I try to read maps and click on the blue tab, the box opens but is empty and does not give me the usual option of choosing what car it is about to read. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT:
Wait.. nevermind. It freezes after you pick the car to read from. Sorry this wont work for you. Maybe do a full uninstall. Delete the folders from c:\program files\OpenECU\ Then Re-install it. Then make sure if your on vista, you run it as adminstrator.

This happened sometimes. Try this. Assuming that EcuFlash is installed in your Dell system as c:\program files\openecu\ecuflash, open "Options" from EcuFlash File menu and set the rommetadata directory as c:\program files\openecu\ecuflash\rommetadata directory. This should point EcuFlash to the correct directory to load its metadata rom files.
