Evo Scan 2.5 Issue suddenly
When I first upgraded to 2.5 everything was fine and it worked great. Now all of a sudden everytime I try and log a run or even at idle my connection drops and it says cant connect to ecu after it already connected.
Ive tried looking through evo scan to see if there was something i did but i havent touched anything. I can connect to scan tech so i know my cable and usb are good. Not sure where else to look. I was going to re download but I cant find the .exe file.
Anyone have any idea's ?
Thanks guys

No issues here. I have Evoscan 2.5 and Vista premium on my laptop. I use an older Tactrix cable 1.3 ~ 2 years old. Drivers for the cable are the ver 2.0 which i updated to about 6-8 months. Mitsu ogger also works fine as does the Scantech OBD2 software which I use to reset any codes ( had one issue for a corrupted flash..cable got pulled during a flash :-( )
Evoscan 2.5 installed fine no issues, runs fine including the SAS disable mode for setting the BISS idle correctly.
My friend Greg had an issue with Evoscan 2.5, could not get it to work with his cable ( Tactrix )which worked perfectly fine just before on Evoscan 2.1. We swapped in my cable and bingo it worked just fine ( no we did not install any drivers )
One thing I dont like is the fact you dont seem to be able to see what rpm you are running while in SAS disable mode so no help .. you cant see the rpm and which way to go. Factory guages are inadequate for this.

over on aktivematrix or ECUflash site (can't remember which) there is a download called "proper tactrix drivers" this should do the trick. Some cables do not work with the newer tactrix drivers. You might want to go to device manager in windows and uninstall existing tactrix drivers reboot and install new tactrix drivers. I have used both Evoscan and ecuflash sourced cables and the older evoscan cables definitely like the older tactrix drivers. Another idea is to simply install the tactrix drivers that came with ecuflash 1.29a When installing newer versions of Evo software just say no or cancel when the driver installation comes. If you are running Vista then it could be all sorts of other things as well.
If after looking you can't find what you are looking for PM me your email addy and I will send. try to look first though as overall I'm lazy
Good Luck

Make sure any unneccessary boxes are checked for wideband stuff. Try logging just your timing or something to see if it stays connected. Also make sure the correct "mitsubishi" box is checked at the top.

Thanks Jamie. I downloaded the new ecu flash 1.38 last night thinking the new drivers may help but they didnt. Im still having the same problems. I can connect to scan tech no problem but when i go to log the car it connects then disconnects saying its not reading ecu.
Now when i start up evo scan is says "root menu" missing. Any ideas ? im trying to re downloaded evo scan now and see what it does. I dont know why its not working all of a sudden I didnt have a problem before just now.
