depending on what kind of intercooler you got, you may adjust boost. this not to increase boost, but to bring it back where it was. 1-2psi makes a big difference.

if you got a thicker/larger bar and plate i/c, there may be a more significant pressure drop than a stock style tube-and-fin.

in short, round up all of your parts, install all at once, then get a tune.

you can bolt up the intercooler and be fine without a tune as it's not going to ruin anything at all--it'll just may make your boost go down a tad.

yea... you'll lose some boost... so you will just need to adjust it back up to were you were previously running thats all.

What's a good MBC? I've heard the Hallman Pro and Pro RX is good. Looking for additional feedback.

You can upgrade your stock BCS with a GM 3port boost solenoid or equivelant for less than most quality MBC's and if tuned properly will yield better results. Just food for thought.
