what else can I do
what else can I do
Right now I'm learning to tune and have gotten my car to 270/265 on 91 oct. I run 22-23 psi and Im at 5000ft elevation. I have learned that at this altitude I can run more timing than sea level but not as much boost. I trying to find out where to start to get my torque up to around 280 and whp to 290ish. If you need I have 2 different mivec maps that put the same Torque down but whp was +-5 whp.
I can post up my timing fuel and mivec if you want/need to. I appreciate any advice. My afrs are around 11-11.2 cause of the crappy gas!
P.S. the whp # came from a mustang dyno. an I get an occasional 1-2 counts of knock so it is safe!

I hear you about the gas for sure.
Easiest way to bump the torque up is to up the boost just have to watch it with the gas and see if the car can take it or not. Hell i run 23-24psi of boost on my Evo 8 with my little mods.
Another quickie way to gain torque is to the free up the exhaust with a test pipe or high flow cat.
If your already maxed out maybe its time to look into an adder like meth injection.

At high altitude, you should be able to run more boost because the air density is lower. At sealevel the absolute air pressure is ~14.7 psi. At 5000 ft, the absolute air pressure is about 8 psi! At 5000 ft, 24 psi on your boost gauge would be roughly equivalent to 16 psi at sealevel.
Ok so maybe 24 psi and a little more timing... I want to try and keep afr where they are but any body else(John B)...My mivec map I am using is shameless's that he posted up...I have another one that might has a little more timing in it but didn't do n e thing power wise so.

Crappy gas requires a bit more fuel and less timing. I was able to run only about 11 deg advance at 7000 rpm when at about 11:1 AFR. Any leaner, and it would knock and pull timing. Running richer wouldn't help much with timing.
