hi,

i am new to tephramod and would appreciate some expert help - i have got 2 cars being modded currently EVO 7 and 8 JDM Spec Manuals. i have used 2 different tephraROMs to flash both cars - on both i did the following

• i was able to flash ROM on ECU
• was able to get stationary / rev limit etc working
• not able to NLTS ( need a guide on how to setup )
• not able to use antilag ( need a guide on how to setup )
• Is it possible to increase boost via ECU FlaSH?
• want to know exact xml and ROM file posted for the above cars.

i would appreciate if someone can help guide me with some DIY guides for the above - what settings and what map edits should i play with - i would appreciate all help that you experts can give -

Antilag isn't part of TephraMOD - unless you have the SAS hardware dont bother.

NLTS - have you got a top clutch switch? what happens when you do the standstill test?

increasing boost - nah not possible ...lol.... try searching

XML - try posting up ROMID's.. and then u might get help...

• NLTS- assuming i have stationnary working and my car does not start if i dont press clutch - i do have a button.... also how do you do the standstill test - what configurations are required - i dont know the values etc. sorry for my noobness here i really wnt this feature to work in my cars - please help.
• XML -- i am still waiting for someone to tell em what ROM ID should i use for EVO 8 JDM Manual 2003 so i can download tephramod ROM for evo8. for EVO 7 i am using 90550001.
• so what the turbo mapping actually do in the mod?

Secondary Air System

NLTS standstill = 0speed, 0load, 20% tps - sitt in garage and rev car, push on clutch... if its working the rpm's will drop. top clutch switch is different to bottom clutch switch which controls starting

You need to tell us what ROMID your car has, download it and then use address 0xF52 for ROMID

i am using 90550001 from the other thread-the stationary and all are working fine - i would need to check top clutch switch ..

with the settings to test NLTS standstill - i rev the car and push on clutch - what will happen? i mean RPM will drop to what?

 

whatever you configure the rpm drop to..

ie rpm drop of 1500, and you clutch in at 3000rpm, means you will drop to 1500 and then sit on 1500 until you release the clutch....

garage test = car in neutral

 

Evo7 doesn't have clutch switch unless you put in one yourself, so you basically you can't have NTLS without clutch switch.

I guesss the wikipedia have most of the answer you need.
