EcuFlash Problem
EcuFlash Problem
So I tried on both my laptops and I still have the same problem. I open up ecuflash and connect my cable upto my comp, put my key in the ON position etc then when I click the read from ECU button the program doesn't do anything and it says "not responding" at the top of the window.. I reinstalled it twice and it keeps doing the same problem. I have a very good custom laptop as well as a small 7" portable one and they both do this. Im having a problem with my EvoScan too. It will record well save the first log but wont after that. I have to close the program and open it again to record another log. BTW I had ecuflash on my subaru and it worked with no problems.
What cable are you using and what version of software? what operating system?
I have found the older version of tactrix drivers is the only thing that allows the flashing/logging programs to work consistently.

I'm using the older tactrix cable and the newest version of ecuflash, 1.40 I think. I'm running vista on my laptop. If you could link me to the older drivers I would appreciate it. Thanks
Get my ecuflash cable hack, the latest version is 1.38. The newer versions had no improvments for evo roms. Here is the link to my thread, you have to find ecuflash 1.38 on your own.

p.s. make sure to read the entire thread to see the install instructions/ how it works. Also search for my older hack to see the details on how the patch works.
