BCS testing data
my 3d map table test seems to resolve the tickyness, ie it runs at 100% until a decent amount of boost is reached... so u can't hear it

I am really excited for some more variable to control boost. it would be nice to have some more part throttle and ramp rate control.

Interestingly, all three solenoids are pretty quiet when there is no air flowing through them. The both of the three ports get much louder when pressurized. Not sure if the solenoid is getting louder or the its the escaping air.

I just looked back at the older posts, and cpoevo said he is sending me a MAC solenoid. Haven't heard yet if he dropped it in the mail. Looks like mchuang is sending an Ingersoll Rand. I'd still like to borrow your MAC solenoid as well just be be sure all the bases are covered. I'll PM you with my addy in a second.
I noticed that sometimes I hear what seems to be bov flutter, the sound you hear when yu are running higher boost than the bov can hold. I assumed it was the air being diverted back into the intake from the GM 3 port but I was never certain. My logs never suggested that the bov was in-fact leaking though. I noticed it most when there was error correction issues in my tune and it would go up and down trying to hold my target boost level.

Thanks to GotWheelHop, I've got an AEM BCS to test. I did a little research on it, and it appears to be a MAC 35A 3-port solenoid. There are some MAC identifications on it, but its not enough to figure out the exact feature set. One thing I noticed from the general specs on the MAC website is that the upper operating range is only 50C (122F). If this is true, its not suitable to put it in the stock BCS location.
