Hi Hamish,
So.... you ARE about. I don't understand why you have completely ignored my post #1608 and #1627 (Feb 25th) and nothing heard back from you either in response to my pm's.
I appreciate you are a busy guy, but aren't we all?
Please respond at your earliest opportunity, I don't think any potential customers researching Evoscan or GPS Logger would be too impressed with the support offered once the product is purchased. Please take this as constructive criticism.
It might also be a good idea to put something in your website cables section area on the IO8 USB analog adapter - I don't see you advertising it anywhere and wonder how many of your customers know of its use or potential. I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Bill

yep its cooling off in NZ now, no more summer daylight savings hours till 10pm Kitesurfing
and my day job in the KiwiFruit industry busy time of season is over.
Heres the list of things I'm working on over Winter...
1) Live MapTracer for EvoScan v2.9 (TephraMods live tuning)
2) New faster data item list in EvoScan v2.9 adds the background picture back now, since Windows7 dropped support for background images in listviews.
3) Enhanced DTC for EvoX and DTC for OBDII

5) EvoScan for iPad (bluetooth for initial release, openport2 usb to follow)

Hi Andy, your request is quite hard, because imagine the scenario where you tick or untick items during logging... csv files can not change structure half way through writing them to disk. so you have to have spare columns in case the use checkbox the item during logging.
A couple of options.
1) you can use the ctrl up key to put your logging items at the top of the list. i.e beginning of the columns.
2) I could write a program that processes the whole file after you press stop datalogging, and it removes all empty columns.. but then you wouldn't be able to merge two csv files together because they would never be the same. But this option would be quite slow, up to 30 seconds for 1 hour log. and if you close the laptop during this time would corrupt the csv file rendering it useless.

Hello Hamish,
Really looking forward to the new release (2.9). I sent in a support ticket last week reguarding the latest version 2.8, and the serial # for the latest update... under my screen name @ aol. I started tinkering w/ a few friends X's and could really use the latest definitions for mode23 w/ the update (as well as all the new features), as 2.6 will not accept the new defs. I put in. and yes I place them in the directory, theyre located in, replacing the old mode23 .xml.
Ive tried 2.7, and same. 2.8 will not allow me to get passed the serial #...
Hopefully I'll get an email for the new update.
I'll even pay again, as I feel your program is COMPLETELY worth it.
Thanks
Phil

I'm sorry if this has been posted before. How good is the navigation. I thought I would kill 2 birds with this thing, since my Garmin crapped out on me.
Does it save destination from Google Maps or some other map service, like most other GPS units can.
Will I need to buy 3rd party maps to make it work in the US?
Thanks.

Sorry, but I've used every navigation app on the planet, including all the pilot aviation based ones, and Navigon is a piece of junk... I still use iGo, its the worlds best navigation software.
