Tuning with the new Magnus

NEW CAST MAGNUS CAST INTAKE MANIFOLD

Okay this thing basically tuned itself. Well not really but this manifold lost no power, picked up torque and power under the curve and total as well.

Here is the dynosheet:

This car has already been tuned previously on E85, stock cams/MAF/ECU, no piggybacks, ETS 57 trim and 3" TBE, ETS pipes, etc. I am thinking that on a MIVEC car it would be even better. I need to look for all the old logs that I have previously but the boost has been the same both time 28 falling to 25. It picked up a little noise prior to full throttle, but basically it was just a little scattered spool noise. As you can see this one let me run max MBT timing on this vehicle (fuel always helps) but it picked up 4hp with 1* but we werent gonna push it any harder at the owners request. I think this on the motor he is building and another 4-5psi on stock cams will make 500whp and with cams should just go nuts.

Here are the logs:

Wow. All you did was add the manifold? 40hp and 30ft/lbs over a 2k rpm range is an impressive gain. Well....1 degree of advance you say.... but still....

This is true, as most SMIM's gain top end power at the expense of bottom end.

This is really a manifold with no downfalls. I wouldn't even think of putting any other manifold on a car!

Nice, so a simple EGR disable in the Rom, slap on the manifold, touch up the AFR's/Timing and go?

Very nice! How lean did the A/F go when you just added the manifold?

Thanks
Chris

I like how there was hardly any low end loss on the TQ and HP, all the gains are above 5500rpm, very nice!!

In talking with the ER boys the torque can still be better because they were part throttling through part of the pull in case this wanted to surge. I am definitely impressed with the power on a 57 trim and cant wait to see what it will do with a Red or 35.
