the definition file you need is determined by which ROM your ecu has.

I tried searching the forum for this topic but didn't have privileges to access the thread. Would flashing the ECU void the warranty? Would the dealer know if you switch out between ECUs? Hope these are questions I'm allowed to ask.

 

I don't believe you, lol, no way you didn't find anything. This comes up like once a week

Anyway, they will highly unlikely find out that you are flashed. They won't go looking for it. But if they do find it, they could potentially deny any claims that could be caused by increasing engine output. Most people say screw them and do it anyway.

Can you use a VAG-COM cable with Ecuflash? Also can you use a VAG-COM cable to log using Mitsulogger or EVOScan?

 

Nope, have to use OpenPort 2.0 cable.

With ECUFlash can you program a turbo timer into the ECU? Not sure if this is possible with ecuflash or not.

Just pulled this rom today, 2010 Evo X, build-date July 2009. I have the most current EcuFlash software, but no support for this rom yet. I would appreciate if anyone knows if this is supported and I missed it.

I didn't write down the ID number. I just tried to open it up, just to see the rom details, and it throws an error code.
I can see if I can get the car next week.
