Testing 3 Port
Is there a simple way to test these things?
I just installed one on my car and it doesn't appear to be doing anything. Its a gruppe-s 3 port copy, i got it for convenience since it was very close to the proper ohms (about 28.5ohms on mine).
The boost is always at wastegate pressure from 50% WGDC to 90% WGDC.
Installed like so:
The metal boost side goes to the turbo nipple.
The open by default side goes to the wastegate
The closed side to vent to intake

Well figured it out today maybe this will help future 3 port modders.
First off the reason it didn't work as expected was I mistakenly reversed the compressor and wastegate lines when i hooked it up.
I got to this conclusion by testing the electrical lines thinking they were faulty. While the car is on/or running the voltage on the solenoid runs a steady 12volts but not enough current to activate the solenoid, probably some ecu testing thing. I tested my adapter for voltage and it was good.
Secondly I got a standard 9 volt battery and using some speaker wire, was convenient, I jumped the solenoid and found it was switching properly. To further test this i plugged it back into the car with no hoses and had a buddy blip the throttle to 100% for a moment. This blipping action triggers the solenoid and i found it was switching properly by trying to blow air into the wastegate port. Upon switching it went to the bleed port.
So i concluded that i had mistakenly hooked up the wategate port to the compressor port by mistake on the night I installed it.
