Can you disable Front 02 sensor?

Can you disable the front 02 sensor thru periphery bits like you can with the rear o2 sensor? And if you can how so? Im throwing p0134 and my car is running insanely rich!

Car wouldnt start since cold weather, got it started finally and im throwing this code.

Thanks

A quick and dirty way to do it is to raise the minimum temperature for closed loop operation.

If the front O2 is dead, raising the closed loop threshhold isnt gonna fix it. You can turn all the CEL off for it, but if you arent going to replace it you do need to tune the car by the O2 sensor.

Change all the open loop load and throttle tables to 10%, then use the fuel table to get your AFRs back to where they need to be.

I will check the exact bit, but I would change the FCA periphery to 0001 and get it turned off for the time being. I will do some research and get the exact bit.

why don't you replace this critical part?

or is this just a stop-gap to get you to a autoparts store?

I didn't say to raise the closed loop threshold. I said to raise the minimum temp for closed loop operation. If you set it to an operating temp the car never sees it does keep the CEL off and does keep the car in open loop.

Reading comprehension owns me . However you can get an out of range code doing this so just setting the open loop limits is easiest.

I have always just set the min temp to 110C when doing work, and never had an issue at all ever.

You can turn off the front 02 heater w/o disabling the 02 feedback etc. If I recall you have to change the 56 in the periphery to 14. I posted it on Lancer Register some time ago.

Yes. I had a dead sensor but tuned my combo entirely in open loop because of the size of the injectors at the time. When I dropped down to 1000s the O2 was already on the blink and I gave up using it again anyway. Since FCA controls alot of the emissions and like sensors, I generally turn them all off. However 8201 does leave some of them still functioning. I didnt leave a very detailed description but using the newer versions of ECUflash should make it pretty easy to detail.
