OEM replacement primary O2 sensor

Just thought I'd throw this up since it took me sometime to find a universal replacement Bosch primary O2 sensor for a few of my customers. Since the dealer wants $160+ (depending on where you go) for the sensor I really wanted to find an alternative.

The Bosch part number is 15730 and retails for just under $60 at most auto parts store. The only draw back is that you would need cut and splice this sensor into the OEM wiring harness but, thats not that big of a deal.

You can also get a Bosch LSU4.2 5-wire (wideband) sensor under part number 3737 through most parts stores for around $67.00.

Do yo mean to say that you cut the plug off your old sensor correct? I'm just saying this so that people don't hack off the plug on your wiring harness. Also diddo, I've run a few of the universal sensors and they work well. I've even gone so far as to run non heated sensors in cars that require heated sensors. I do this because I can get them for $28 and if your running leaded fuel you kill the primary sensors quickly.

Yes, sorry. I just measure the new wire length and cut the old wires off at that length measuring from the sensor so that new wires and old wires are still at the same length as the OEM so everything still looks and attaches like factory.

Does this require software changes, and would this allow you to log AFR in EvoScan just as with an aftermarket wideband (zeitronix, innovate, etc.)?

You still need a wideband controller........AEM,ZT-2, LC-1, etc. This is just the replacement sensor that works for most of the wideband controllers out there.
