Ix rs 97710001?
Ix rs 97710001?
Some dude lend me this ecu and check which evo it belong so I put that into my buddy's IX. When I read the ecu, it fail (using Evo9 read template). Then I tried Evo7/8, that work. The romid come up is 97710001.
I was told later this ecu is from IX RS, so I copied 88570008 and make it work with 97710001. Scaling is a bit off but timing and fuelmap is good. VVT/Mivec map doesn't seem to work.
Question is, this rom is 256k in size. Does IX RS have Mivec? Here's the rom if you are interested to find out.
Here's the output when reading using E9.

How did he get his hands on an "engineering sample"?
Anyhow, Evo 9 ROMs are 512 KB. Using the Evo 8 read method will cause the ROM to be 256 KB. How many times did you try the Evo 9 read method?

Wow, thanks acamus
So this is IX ecu indeed... what's the Valvetiming scaling used?
This doesn't work for me...
<scaling name="ValveTiming" units="degrees" toexpr="72-x*0.6" frexpr="(72-x)/0.6" format="%.1f" min="0" max="30" inc="0.6" storagetype="uint8" endian="big"/>

if you need some other addresses to be corrected, please post, i will have a look.
Anyway thanx for posting this ROM, it seems it could be used with evo7/8 ECUs.
