Map switching harness inop

As the title states, I am unable to switch maps. It doesn't matter whether the switch is on or off- the ecu always reads off of the normal map. I have the V5.10 installed in the car so I thought this issue was remedied. Do peripheries play a part in map switching? Any ideas would be appreciated. The LED for the switch lights up when activated and goes off when off so the switch itself is working fine.

Do you have it enabled in the tephra rom options? Should have a "1" beside it...

did you test the input that goes to the ecu and make sure its getting voltage? 0v off and under 5v on?

Also did you buy one or make one yourself?

I had an issue with the first one I made, it eventually stopped working but the led still lit up.....Instead of troubleshooting it I made a brand new one from leftover parts and it worked again.

Nice thing was the second time around I made it much better and it worked out in my benefit that the first one failed.

There is a way to log the voltage at ADC0. Check the alt map section of the stock ECU tuning Wiki for the code and descriptions.

I bench tested mine before I installed it to make sure it was spitting out the correct voltage signal but that was because I made it and you could say I didn't trust myself

I would test that either by logging or pull the pin out and testing it with a voltmeter...

I'm going to test voltage- I know it's not working because I have the scaling of the injector for pump gas on normal map and scaling for e85 on alt map. Car will run like crap if I don't change the normal map scaling to my e85(which is in the car). There's no difference in how it runs with the switch on or off.

When my first switch failed that was the problem I had with e85 scaling....I had to make the normal scaling the e85 scaling or the trims would max out and car would barely run. As long as I had the e85 scaling in the normal maps the alt. fuel/timing etc all still worked..... The weird part was my switch worked for a long time before this happened, I imagine a soldered joint started to break and eventually broke causing nothing to work but strange how it all started with only the alt. scaling being effected.

I made a new harness and the problem was gone and all is well......I'm going to say its your harness (because my problem was identical), if anything see if you can send it back for a new one?

The switch was working fine for quite some time and then all of a sudden it just stopped. I didn't know if it was something that I may have did with the periphery settings or something like that. I'm just going to make my normal map scaled to e85 until I figure it out.

Its your harness.......your problem is 100% identical to mine and the new harness fixed it. Contact JT and see if he would swap you out for a new one.

It has nothing to do with peripheries or anything

Just out of curiosity what is the voltage threshold supposed to be? I have it at 3.02V.

That is where I have mine set I think.....I never changed it from what came default.

Sorry to get a little off topic but what is bit 7 in the FAA for? I know it says enable high oct ign map and other subroutines. Do most have that enabled or disabled?
