Need help logging AEM wideband in Evoscan 2.5
Okay so I've searched and searched and came up with nothing. The problem i'm having is evoscan keeps disengaging whenever I try to log the external wideband. If I uncheck it it logs ok. Funny thing is when I test it with hyperterminal it works and brings up the AFR, and I have double checked which com port I select in evoscan which is the same one I select using hyperterminal.
Does it matter where in the list I have "external wb"?
Is there some additional piece of code that I need to add/alter to get this thing working. Anyone else encountered this problem?
Dunno if this info is needed but I'm using tactrix 1.3, evoscan 2.5, rom id 88590015

Yes I did select the right port. Actually, when I plugged in the serial>usb converter it assigned it to COM 9. I selected the AEM wideband from the drop down menu and COM 9. When I unplug the adaptor I no longer get an option for COM 9 in the drop down so I definitely know its right.
Did you have to do any altering to the request or you just checked the box and that was it?

I plugged in his serial cable, selected AEM from the drop down menu, selected the wideband com port and then logged?.
Did you go into device manager and confirm its indeed com port 9?
Yea I did check it...
I also logged that same COM 9 using hyperterminal and I got the AFR reading. Do you think it could be the serial to usb adaptor not compatible with evoscan?

Do you think it could be something else though?
if it is working in hyperterminal then the cable is setup correctly and the gauge is working so its just a matter of Evoscan picking it up correctly.
Have you followed all the steps as detailed in this thread?

Your computer probably doesn't assign it the same comport every time you hook it up. I know mine doesn't. If there's an option to open device manager to check comports under where you select your wideband do that. If the option doesn't exist go to control panel, admin settings (or something like that) computer manager, device manager. There will be a comports dropdown and you can see what comport is assigned to your serial-usb converter. I have to do this pretty much every time I log.
