Sorry, I need someone with an 88590015 ROM. I'm sure patches for other ROMs will quickly follow.

I have a friend that removed his rear O2 - he is 88590015. For now he is driving around with a cel, i could probably test this for you on his car. I originally told him to do the resistor mod, but now that I see this he will be happy of the option.

Hi folks.
I am newbi into EVO and I am not shure that I understand the problem.
During my work with the old ATR I found a nice and cheap solution to aviord MIL (CEL) when you remove a catalysator or place a highflow catalysator.
Now I had used the same solution on my IX. Extending the mounting soket to 4cm will keep the O2 sensor out of the gas stream and no MIL (CEL) will occur.
Guess that you guys know this and you need the programming solution.

We're discussing a solution that permits you to completely remove the rear O2 sensor from the car; ie. completely unplugged from the wiring harness. The mechanical solution you mentioned is workable for those who can retain the sensor, but isn't ideal for all of us.

I was planning on just doing the resistor mod when I had some time so if you need a tester for 94170015, I'll do it.
