If you want to disable lean spool, using Periphery1 bit0 is the way to do it. It could make sense to run lean spool with gasoline. With E85 or meth, I don't think there is much value to running lean spool. Race gas may negate the need for lean spool as well.
I will leave it like this if it makes sense.
Only gassoline that I use is 99+ from gas station

Decay rate & step size for 94170008
I compared mrfred's decay rate & step size map to 03 EVO8 94170008 by guessing address by fixed offset. (it may be wrong)
It seems EVO 9 has more aggressive setting, because lean spool decays slower and resets faster than EVO 8.
Since EVO 9 has better-cooled head, it may not be surprising to see this.
One strange thing is that the step size for decay rate is "10" (if address is right) rather than "1".
I hope someone with EVO 8 disassembly can confirm the right address for this.

I seem to have an odd thing (AFRs getting richer) after a few pulls -- by ~0.5 - 0.7 pts. I have read about folks having trouble with "lean spool" and richer AFRs in higher gears, but I have never experienced changes more than 0.1 - 0.3.
Atfer reading this thread and a few others, I believe the change occurred because I leaned my car up a bit and the "lean spool / enrichment" feature kicked in. My AFRs were consistent 10.8 - 11.1 (running Meth and a lot of boost). Then I leaned the AFRs (in 3rd gear) to 11.2 - 11.8, but found in 4th and 5th gear I was getting richer AFRs (whereas before they would stay constant running ~11.1).
My question is, do you think the "spool / enrichment" feature actually only kicks in if the car is running loads > X and AFRs > 11.5 for a few seconds? I wonder if the car "knows" or "believes" the engine is getting too hot?
Maybe I should not worry about it because the car is not knocking, is still a lot leaner than the factory designed, and is within 'acceptable range' from what I have read. Thoughts?

I did some searching and came up empty handed. If lean spool is turned off, will the ecu still add fuel as temp increases?

for gasoline:
step 1, reduce the rpm range Lean-Spool is active
eg 2500 - 3500 rpm ie when the turbo is actually spooling
step 2, reduce the enleanment via the AFR table to about 0.4 max down to 0.2.

Normal vs Ralliart Map
Sorry to revive such an old thread, but i was just comparing the Lean Spool Map of an normal Evolution 6 GSR and a LS map of a Ralliart rom.
Even though the Ralliart rom has an about 1 AFR leaner High Octane Map than a stock rom in the high rpm/high load range, Mitsubishi hasn't touched the LS Map.
This means even though the Ralliart Map has an AFR of 10.3 (normal rom: 9.3) for about 180/200 Load at 7000rpm the LS Map still has the 9.5 value. This would mean enrichment
