Secondary air supply on the EVO it's used to maintain the spin of turbo.
SAS is used to have a better response in OFF/ON operation. SAS introduced "fresh air" in the exhaust manifold when throttle is off.

 

According johnf's, grayw's and cossie1's instructions, to use the AVCR pressure sensor to log boost with evoscan, u have to take a feed from the AVCR harness blue wire and put it into i.e. pin 73 in the ECU. Then u put in Evoscan (@Eval) this formula 0.019224*x-1.47065 to get a pressure reading in BAR. Log MUT 38 (=JDMmap, request 38, which is already set up in Evoscan, u just change the formula).

did you test it on a IX because the MAP pin # related to MUT request 38 is pin 92 - no ?
I guess you have (like me) a IX EDM wich do not have MAP wiring , so its very interesting to know if the MAP poll routine is implemented in xxx16/17 fw. !

Yes I also have a IX EDM w/o MAP and I need to log boost for a better remap after the latest mods.

I connected (wire + 2 clamps to avoid cutting) the blue wire from the avcr to the wire coming out of ecu pin #73.

Then at evoscan JDM MAP:
