Thank you sir! I changed the g/rev formula (I believe) that referenced "2byteload" and changed it to "1ByteLoad" and nada. Is this not correct, or is there more to it? And of course I had 1ByteLoad above all of the g/rev hp and tq stuff... I'll give it another shot.
Edit: I think when I changed the formula, changed it to "Load1Byte" when it should probobly be "LoadMUT1Byte" can some1 confirm this for me, or I'll just have to try it ... lol

and I do use the VDR as well. Thanks J.O.T.

Which Boost tables ?

I'm using Phenom's prepared ROM (2nd DL) on an 03' with good results. However I cannot seem to get past WG pressure 14-15 PSI with a Tactrix (Prodrive)BCS with just swapping over my maps and starting it up.

Is it as simple as filling in the 3D tables that are zero'd out in Phenom's ROM, do I use the 2D tables for the single BCS that have values in them already, or are there more set up steps I need to research?

Attachment 1: 3D tables in the mods section
attachment 2: 2D tables under single BCS

I do have a JDM 3 bar and it is logging correctly, is this included in the loop in this metheod of boost control?

Many thanks to all who have contributed to this, and to Phenom for packaging up all the goods in one ROM!

everything is fne w/ that rom. You need to use the 3D maps for boost control. You do NOT use the old 2D tables! There are quite a few new tables w/ this rom... To be able to use the 3D tables you will need to add a few defs. to your evoscan .xml so you can log "gear" and rpm_speed_gear_ratio, so your ecu knows which gear to look up. I posted the info 5-6 pages back, or so. You can get the defs. from the first page of this thread.

Does anybody know if the 96530706 (modified 96530006) rom has the intercooler sprayer code still in it and if so what are the definitions to control it? Also, in theory, if I make my "time to activate alt maps" 0ms and I give the alt map 5v input the ecu will switch over instantaneously assuming it is above the load threshold?

thanks,
dan

There is a bug with 0ms activation - use 1 step up from 0ms.. ill fix this b4 V7 release

It will basically be instant

ICS should still be available

Can you re-test the AFR safety? especially the new timer part

ICS should be there but the maps are not defined in ECUFlash like they are for the 94170015 and older ROMs. Anyone have a quick definition of them handy?

Yes I can test. Do you wish to have it tested for evo 9 (I can do the evo 9 this weekend) or evo 8 (the evo 8 won't be till the following weekend). In case you haven't caught on, the evo 8 ecu is running in my DSM so I can test both.

The question for the intercooler sprayer and map switching is so that I can use the ecu to turn on the methanol and once my sensor picks up methanol flow to then switch to alternate maps to then provide the proper AFR. This is for the evo 8 ecu.

96530706 will not work with an Evo 9.

I have attached my definition files as they contain some of the IC definitions.
Hope that helps.

You want to use whatever the "altname" value is set to in EvoScan, just the same as any other calculation that references a value that has already been logged. If you used the Evoscan entries from the first post it would be this part: LogReference="Load"
Just look in evoscan at other definitions that are referencing other logged items to get an idea of how it works. It's not magic

the main interest is changing the WGDCC.

Richard
The correction interval will work the same as always. You would still have to modify the "stock ecu has gear dependent control" switchover value to use different correction intervals if you would want to.

You are doing it wrong. You have to be UNDER the load for it to be able to switch "up" to the alt-maps. You want your WI controller to activate you to altmaps full-time, then switch "down" to regular maps if it detects a fault. This will happen instantaneously regardless of the timer (I think).

Transfer over your maps. I don't know why you would want to even drive the car like that.

If the knock is phantom, so to speak, you could try adjusting the knock load MAP under the Knock tables in the ROM but, again you need to confirm that it is in fact phantom knock.
