Breakup After hardshifts, Possible Knock , please help.

Hey guys , ill try to explain the situation the best i can. Unfortunatly my laptop is down so it makes it about 10x harder. My car was running sluggish about a 2 weeks ago. Felt like it was Running way to rich at the top of gears. I change out the oil/sparkplugs , check for anything abnormal etc find nothing. After changing the plugs car felt a lot better , Weird part was they were gapped at .034 Because guy told me they came gapped @ .028 and i didnt have my gapper on me.

So i go up to my buddys , me and 3 others hop in the car. +700lbs ish of people besides me. Do 1 pull (21psi) , Records zero knock , timing is dead one etc ( Car was tuned at turbo trix bout 2 years ago ) A/F is dipping very low in the high RPMS Im talking low 9's.

We then up the boost to 25psi , Cars A lot stronger this time , Still zero knock , timing is good. Dont feel any bogging down. A/F still in the low 9's. So i try to take out .5 Worth of fuel @ the correct load. Do another pull , i feel car knocking so i let off , A/F was still dead rich and i was getting 6-9 Counts of knock , add back in .3Fuel. And the car runs mint! even though the A/F still was off.

Then on the way home , with just me in the car ( -700lbs ) , I do a pull , cars strong up untill 6.5k then it starts to breakup or knock a little i couldn't tell. The next day same things going on but ONLY when i shift out hard , 6k+ Almost sounds like im hitting fuel cut. I pulled plugs , Regapped to .025 , Got on it today and it felt like a dog. ( Plugs looked fine too by the way )

Is there anything anyone reccomends doing while i wait to get a lappy back so i can hook up the evoscan to the car again.

Sorry for the wall of text , Didnt wanna post this unless i really couldn't figure this out.

All mods in sig

No ....When you are cruising your AFRs will be in that range, depending on your maps (closed vs open loop)....

Now, are you logging boost? Can you post logs? Have you re-calibrated your LC1? What changed when the car starting running poorly? The most obvious scenario is your car has a boost leak (MAF thinks you have a ton more air than is actually entering the engine, thus causing the rich condition)....

Check for boost leaks and after you find / fix it, make sure you change the fuel map back to where it was....

Fuel map was only changed .2 , AFR was always 14.6range , about a week ago ( when this started going on ) randomly bumped itself to 15.0 ish . And i recalibrated the LC-1 4 days ago ( to make sure it was on point ) I have the Orginal Tune saved just in case.

My boost leak tester is down @ my fathers house , Wich i wont be able to get a hold for a few days , But thats the 1st thing i suppose i should look for.

Thanks for backing up my thoughts , just making sure i wasnt missing anything

Gap the plugs to .025 first. What is timing at peak torque and at 7K? Good starting points for the VIII are 3* at peak torque and 12* up top. You have a lot of mods to get more air in/out. If you really are running that rich, it is possible that TT put in way more timing on a rich tune. It is rare but there is such a thing as rich knock

Id double check the tune for the injector scaling/ latency done properly, those are pretty big injectors. If not scaled right, the AFR will be way off matching what the LC-1 is saying.

Lastly if the inj dump enough fuel the 255 might not be able to keep up at high rpm. Just a thought.

Maybe you can post the tables and timing so the gurus here can comment
