Anyone that has tried these modifications feel like putting together an idiot's/illustrated guide? Or maybe running a Q&A thread if you are confident to help other users into using these new mods?

I'm not lazy, but I'm better at working out new stuff than writing instructions that people understand, although I'm happy to help with corrections etc. With my patients if they don't understand, I give them leaflets or just shout louder This seems to work, but it won't for this over the intarweb...

I will do this when I have my sensors installed and I figure it out, if it works for my rom. May take me weeks though so if someone else wants to do it go for it.

 

If there's a version for the USDM 05's yet then I'll do it.

I think I'm gonna do the SD on 96260009 if JCS can verify that it'll work on my ecu. I think he said it does but then he kinda contradicted himself so I'm lost lol

I'd kill to have live mapping on 88590715 and have speed density already patched in.

 

There is a write-up that was done, and quite a few threads covering this topic within the past few months, it covers implementation of the new V7 rom for Evo 8's more specifically but a lot can be applied to 9's as well.

 

HI i've used the search but nothing that really says how to setup the interface, I have it on the car and the using the 96532706 rom, when I click on the start button it says can't read from memory address. So was wondering what setting might need changing, also when I set the save directory it doesn't remember the setting.

I've looked through lots of posts but can't really find definite instructions (unless I've missed them in the very long posts)

Also will there be a patch for the software to allow it to connect through an OP2 cable, as I've had to borrow a 1.3 cable to get it to talk to the ECU.

An other question I have is will the realtime logger read the serial port for my WB or does it have to be wired into the ECU before it will record?

non of the live map programs work with OP2 cable unfortunately. i havent been able to find any decent info on how to do it.

for the thread slo_Crx1 was talking about search for 9563 and live map and sd. it should bring it up.

i think i will put some instructions up once i have time and tested my program a little more.

 

I got a couple questions for live mapping MAF based, does the live mapping only work for the alt map or both maps(main map)?

If I can figure how to use this Im more then happy to write a guide because finding information over a dozen threads and hundreds of posts isn't working very well.

 

I made a how-to for livemapping and SD on 96530706 last July I think. But, with so many changes now, that thread is out of date.

For one, Ziad made a new version of the LiveMap app, which is pretty awesome and way better than my updated versions from John's original version.

Also, with the newer V7 ROMs with bigmaps, etc, a few addresses may have changed...forgot off the top of my head. But, I have V7 with bigmaps and LiveMap working just fine with Ziad's latest LiveMap app.

I think he is still working on it and making more changes, so maybe when he's done, he can start a thread on it and I can jump in with the details and/or settings, at least for 9653xxxx.

 

Im using the pre-patched v7 live map that I got off the tephra thread, is that the old live map app?
