I've been doing a whole lot of reading on tuning my self because I'm really interested in tuning my own car, 1 and 2, I want to understand everything that goes on under the hood. Like Tephra said, your base map is what you pull off your untouched ecu. Read, read read and don't take friends advice who think they know it all... especially the ones that drives Hondas and got a little grease on their hands and think they know it all. Trial and error my friend.

Im sorry but did i ever say he "Knew it all" ?
Btw, not to kinda get in a fight over this, but um. Its not like he owned a fully built and tuned evo. Wait.. He did
I know what u mean though. All i do is read up on things. I was just curious on the base map. And i now relize what it is

I wasn't talking about anyone you specifically knew. What I meant to say was go with your gut and what you learn from other members on here instead of what others think.

Sorry about that, me and him just talked and said that their has to be some type of tune do to the car runs "ok" for having hks 272 ams fuel rail and 780cc injectors.

He wants to start out complely fresh and he thinks it has to have some tune on the map in their now...
Bah

Bah
Nothing really to do except set the latency and scaling for the injectors then. Perhaps set the block of 5 degrees timing at idle/low load to 7's and be done lol!

You can find the scaling for your injectors in threads in this forum just search them out and definitely read up on the how to tune thread for where to set the values. Your friend sounds very specious for needing a base map to start tuning .

If you still can't figure it out you're left with two options.

1) Pay someone
2) Beg someone here to map it for you
