Knock on shifts.. Help
Knock on shifts.. Help
Hey guys,
I'm running 22psi tapering to 20 on a evo 9 turbo, straight 91 oct. This same tune was tuned last weekend to 341hp. What Ive notice since I got off the dyno is that the car knocks on the shift.. sometimes. Ive tried pulling timing from the cells i hit during the shift but the problem persists. Any advice on how to stop it?

As jcsbanks said. When I map traced the shift i saw that my load ran up and down the 7500 load cells.
My load at 7500 is about 220 under WOT. On the shift, it ran down to about 40-60 load and then back up to 200ish all in the 7500 row. What i did was pull timing along the 7500 row so that the timing comes more smoothly back to the 14* or so I have in my 220load cell.
Also to solve the knock caused by shifting at the other rpms (ie shifting @ 6k say) i applied this method to all columns from 140load -220 load from 5500-7500.
