Is there a way to tell if I am logging the knock sum correctly ?

I am seeing knock counts up to 11 at highway cruise, although the ECU does not pull the timing until the count is over 10....
WOT runs see knock count up to 13-14 and the ECU will pull 2 degrees then.

Actually I just realized this started after I upgraded the Openport to the latest firmware with EcuFlash 1.44.3719
Before the knock count was up to 3 on a WOT run....

Strangely enough there is a couple of cruise logs that show no knock, after the firmware upgrade.

I'm confused

unable to edit the mode 23 maps

Hello everyone. Im new to logging and I kept getting bad numbers from my log which has lead me to here. From what I understand you have to edit the mode 23 maps to get the correct number while logging. Im unable to edit the mode 23 maps in the misc section. I had the mode 23 maps already in my misc section before trying to edit the xml but when I tried to open them they said disabled. I followed the directions in the enable mode 23 thread and got to the point where your supposed to edit the map because they come up disabled.

When I went to edit the 52680015 xml and there was what seemed to be only part of the required text that was shown in step 5 of the how to thread. I saved the original xml of course to have a backup but I cannot get the mode 23 maps to come up anything other than disabled. I have tried to edit the mode 23 maps with the original txt that was in the xml which I will list below, both the original and the txt show to copy from step 5 for my rom 52680020, and with only the txt show to copy in step 5 for my specific rom. Am I doing something wrong here or what im confused. Does anybody have the xml for 52680020 that they have been able to use the mode 23 they can send me.

any help here would be great

<table name="Mode 23 - DoMode 0x42 -> 0x52" address="8ab16"/>

on a side note my DoMode original value for a 52360018 ROM was 0x4242. I changed it to 0x52 anyway. all seems to work eventually.

Good day!

A little over a year ago in Baltimore bought Evo X MR, some time later purchased on the official site
OpenPort 2.0, Evoscan 2.9.0023 (updated to 0092) and download EcuFlash 1.44.4247.

Until recently, I was in it nothing particularly worried, but a month after the removal of the catalyst and the competition in the Sich, I
there was a knock and pereduv. Now I try to remove the logs using Evoscan, pre-switching in the firmware in two mode23
places with 05 to 23 and in another with 4D to 5D, tried different versions of logging Evoscan, but he could not achieve
real evidence. Judging from the logs that can be controlled (speed, throttle, AFR and speed) - standing on the ground speed
Springs 400 miles, then a minus throttle, and then displays plus does not respond to pedal movement, the load is less then the value in thousands
displays, etc., respectively, the remaining logs testimony is also not valid and can not rely on them. Trying to find the Old forums,
but so far no useful information on removing logs found. Therefore, I decided to write my question is maximized and if
who knows how to set up Evoscan to remove the logs on the Evo X MR SST, ID 59590004 prshivki, please tell me.

Thanks in advance!
Yours Evgeniy!

I apologize if the translation is not quite correct.

It is good enough for google translate!

Try sending a private message to the user evoscan on here, that is the owner. If anyone will know, he will.

I'm also trying to determine the correct memory locations and values to add to the XML file in ECUFlash to enable mode 23 so I can start logging. ECU ID 59590005, which I believe is the latest after the recall.

2013-2014 is the same for USDM. Use the 59590004 address and XML

Hey Guys,

I have enabled Mode23 but I cant log 2byte load or psig or rpm.....
I found the right address in the MUT table for ie. 2byte Load and set it to evoscan(Request ID 238087B3) My RomID is 56910009.

I am logging Load ie 2734,19

the Eval is x*10/32
Responsebytes 2
scalingfactor .1

Speed, timing, tps is ok
