If all we are really up against is a read/write plug issue, You could look at what pin it is on in the Auto and run a pin with the ALDL connector out of a 1G harness and make it connect like that. The other option is what we do on 2Ga's is add the wire with a spade and put a wiretap on our white connector end on the cable. I bet it is probably the same computer as the auto just not configured to talk.

 

Aaron if I remember correctly from my 3G days they are different because the auto has a separate ecu for the tranny... I am a bit foggy, but I think I am remembering correctly

 

The actual ECUs could be the same and Mitsu was/is still using a TCU in those then? The newer Mitsu Auto's have the TCU integrated into the ECU code.
