Update: To reduce the rich knock (I assumed), I leaned out 140 load cells @ 2500 & 3000 rpm, then it seemed to be better for the first two pulls, but at the third pull, I got huge knocks! (Log attached) upto 24.

What would be the proper AFR target during the spool up? Because rich condition gave me mild knock trails, and lean condition also gave me knocks. TME RS does spool hundreds of rpm faster than the stock inconel turbo, so is it trickier to set it right?

Or can this be clutch related? I haven't seen any rpm shooting, but the clutch might make some noise during the spool-up since the stock clutch plate is spring loaded?

One more thing is that I definitely lost torque during spool up after leaning out.

I was also thinking about raising the knock load and reduce the knock sensor sensitivity, but I do not think mine is a phantom knock which many built or cammed engines might have, because it definitely changes with AFR.

Well the weird thing is the car was not knocking today. Im not sure if it was the race gas or not but i filled it up again today so i will see for the next couple of days what happens.

Eag36 i might have to do something like what is in your post, but im going to wait and see if this mystery knock comes back or not.

Edit: I would also like to note that my log looks something just like ace33joe's log looks. It is knock in the same exact spots.

If you had high knock counts, I suggest you to make those specific rpm and load cells rich. At least I have never had those high knock counts until I made them leaner, although I had constant small number of knock counts over hundreds of rpms when AFR was rich.

Just an update, but it seems my knock has mysteriously gone away on its own. I havent seen any knock in the past couple of days even when i try to replicate the problem i was having before.

Strange? Could it have been the race fuel?

Well that is weird. Have you changed anything to the car? other than the gas? I still think it might be something loose under the hood.

Edited: I thought race gas prevented the knock, but you said race gas didn't solve the knock problem, and 93 pump gas did. Hm...strange.
