Have you tried pulling the code with an aftermarket OBD2 scanner?

Car is at the dealer now.. and I'm having issues getting them to fix the damn CEL. Trying to tell me they can't reflash my ecu back to stock because I have a tune on the ECU and that Mitsu does not have the original data, which I know is a bunch of BS. Any advice?

I get that error, P0603, if I try start the car and the battery voltage drops very low, like sub 3volts under cranking.

I get the error, if I flash the car, start the car off a booster battery the error does not appear, switch off, take booster off and restart, battery voltage drops and get the error.

Only get the error if I start the car cold and battery is weak.

Only way to clear the code is to reflash or battery disconnect

Mike

Mike the code I was getting would not go away no matter what I did. I left the battery off for half a day, nothing. Tried to have it cleared.. nothing. Tried reflashing with ECU flash, nothing. The dealer has to put the correct vin back into the ECU. Which has made me very afraid to mess with any tuning.

Nick,

Just buy an extra ECU. I got mine for $100 two years ago. If something does go wrong you always have a known good one to fall back to.
