7* at 7500 is ridiculous. There are pumpgas cars running 35psi boost at 7*.

I would reduce the boost until the car will accept a minimum of 11-13* at that rpm.
The problem is the car will not take more timing period, even at 20 psi. I raised boost up to 25 in hopes of bringing power back up and it didnt really change knock sums. The car just hates to make power.

Do you have lean spool enabled?

There has to be a mechanical cause to the type of knock you are seeing. I have run 91 pumpgas cars far harder with far more timing. Are there any mechanical changes to the engine itself? How intermittent is the knock and can you lift and reply 100% throttle and either make it appear or disappear? What intercooler are you using (what are the underhood IAT), were the lifters properly bled, is there anything possibly touching the downpipe?

Stock engine besides cams, stock motor mounts, ams intercooler. Just depends on lifting and going back into it, sometimes will and then sometimes wont cause knock sums. Base timing is spot on, lifters bled good and are quiet, downpipe is not touching anything.

Just a quick question are you running a cat? And if so was it checked to make sure it didn't melt on heat or a rich afr?

I have seen this with my car when the clutch is done and the springs in the hub rattle (like a broken cage for instance). How new is the clutch?

Compression test shows great actually, have not done a leak down. Clutch is a old exedy stage 1 that was in the car when I bought it, it hasnt slipped at all yet and my ears at least cannot hear any clutch noise.

Have you tried making a set of det cans? Maybe you could hear mechanical noise that is unusual that way?
