I have the 88590015 and followed the video and patched and looked at both tables and they are set to 1 yet when I plug in I get
Catalyst NO
Heated Catalyst Yes
Evaporative No
Secondary Air No
Air Cond refrig No
Oxy sensor Yes
Oxy sensor heater Yes
EGR No
What gives?? both my Monitor Available and Monitor Passed tables all have 1's???

Hi guys, I read through the thread. I admit I'm no expert here...
I had two of the most reputable Evom vendors both try to get my car to pass inspection with this fix, but to no avail. One modified my currently already modified ECU - the other modified a stock ECU with parameters that would allow me to get to the shop for inspection without boosting.
Both failed with the following:
Heated 02: Not Ready
Cat: Not Ready
Evap: Not Ready
Also on the last one I had a misfire CEL (light had turned off a week before, I know I need to clear it - downloading evoscan now).
Brief mod list:
E-85
1200CC injectors / dual pumps
FP Red
No cat (Buschur - no CEL)
Dump tube
Other basic bolt-ons.
I'd be willing to pay someone reputable to take a look at one or both my ECU's that are tuned with the patch and fix it. If I pass inspection I'd pay you and donate to the mod!
I have been uninspected for over 2 years... just got back from overseas. Please help!
Thanks

@razorlab - I know the inspectors, the only reason I fail is because of Heated 02, cat & evap show as not ready. They dont care about systems showing ready that my car doesnt have. Unless you think the unexistent systems showing ready are actually causing other systems to show not ready?
If someone wants me to E-mail my ECU to them to take a look just PM me. $50 for them and $25 for the community if it works!

Silly question, but are you sure you are burning the ROM properly to the ECU? Or is this just the ROM as the vendor sent it to you before you've written it to the car?
Also, what ROM version are you on?

@septagent - No such thing as a silly question.
I had thought that was the case, I even went the extra mile to go to another vendor and have them give me a completely separate rom that isnt 100% optimized for my mods and I noticed the difference in the drive after I had flashed and then flashed back.
ROM# 94170015 for the screenshot I posted above.
My other ROM# is 94170008

I have also read that people couldnt get this mod to flash while using a laptop but got it to work with a desktop. Has anyone confirmed that? I am using Vista on a laptop & ECU flash version 1.42
I cant help but think that this is an easy fix if we can find the simple problem...

Oh good. I'm on one of those ROMs but it's been over a year since I looked at it so I don't remember wich one. I'll look it up when I get back to my laptop and pm you my email address. I won't be able to take a look at it till tomorrow though, but hopefully I can spot the problem.
Ps, I am also on 1.42 and a laptop and had no problems with xp. I think I recall hearing other people having problems with vista.
