Hey everyone I'm new on this forum,

I've just received my 1.3 cable and I'm wanting to reflash my ecu. I've noticed that my evo 5 doesn't have the white connector for the reflash plug that is attached with the cable.

Is it possible to connect that wire to pin 79 so I can reflash my evo 7 ecu.

the 5 does have a flash connector. but yes if your struggling you can connect the wire to pin 79

 

I checked and there isnt a flash connector

 

it will be hiding in the loom near the obd port.iv had problems finding them before.

which mas are you going to use with your 5?

 

I'm going to reflash my evo 7 ecu with a evo 7 ralliart rom

 

so you're keeping the stock evo 5 mas and going to flash the evo 7 ralliart ROM on the car???

 

there is very little between the 5 maf and 7 maf in terms of size and scaling.

 

if I have to change the maf then I would no problems

 

if they aren't exactly the same that wouldn't be acceptable to me and I sure wouldn't throw a RalliArt tune from a 7 on it to make matters worse and call it good

 

you dont have to change the maf.just change the scalings + size

me either which is why the scaings should be changed.but the stock scalings will be enough to get it fired up.theres been plenty done with this conversion with no probs
