I wonder if the ROM is locked?? you may need to try ECU unlocker, if you havent already go to aktivematrix.com and get it from there....

 

Yeah I've already tried with the unlocker software running but no luck

Got it sorted, reflash was successful... only problem now is that I get check engine light, even when I clear it with evoscan, it comes back on whenever I start the motor again

 

does it stay on the whole time??? the ROM you flashed might be throwing up a CEL!!

The ralliart rom I used is from www.limitless.co.nz

Never had check engine light when it was just the normal evo 7 rom.

When I scan for error codes with evoscan, it doesn't really give me much info but I can clear it... but when ever I shut off the car and turn it back on, the light comes back on. As far as I know, the car still runs fine just with engine check light bugging me lol

 

mmm well I can send you another ralliart rom with a new def and that might work.
