Help with tephra 5.10
I need help with flashing tephra5.10 to my 2003 Evo8. I followed all the instructions as per tephra's thread. I changed my xml file as per instruction and flashed my rom with my immobilizer code, but the car won't start. This car is completely stock equiped with Blitz Turbo timer and PLX M300 Wideband. I'm trying to log my wideband reading with evoscan. Currently I flash my original rom back in the car and every is fine. My rom is 94170015.
Alright, I turned valet parking off and added MUT table. I than changed MUT12 to 8409. Flashed the ECU, the car started up great, but engine light come on. It flash 3 times and it went off. When I rave up, the Engine light come on again. I really don't know what's the deal with it. I flash my original rom back on it and everything is fine. Could it be that I removed the rear O2 sensor completely that's triggling the engine light?

Please read the tephramod threads. They are long but the have answered these questions numerous times.
I disable the Auto-valet option, I set it on 0 instead of 1. After turning auto-valet off, my car starts, but the engine light would come on when i rav the car, like 3 flashes. I think its that knock function, I will check it when I get home today.
Alright, I uncheck all the Tephra setting except for O2 sensor Stimulator and i'm still getting engine lights. I disconnected the rear O2 sensor with that. I didn't put MUT file in my XML as it was for logging purpose. My engine shouldn't haven't any light with Tephra 5.10 with O2 sensor disconnected. Anyone have any idea how to fix this?
Yeah, That's what I figured. I will go to harbor Freight tomorrow and pick up a OBDII reader. I should just buy a wideband with Serial port instead of taking this PLX from my brother. But at the same token, I'm learning a lot from.
If you completely removed the sensor you will still get a heater CEL.

Yeah, I was suspecting that heater O2 wires are the source of the problem. I bought a OBD2 scanner today to verify the source of the problme and yes indeed it was code P0141, O2 heater wire. I went ahead and plug my O2 sensor back, but disconnected the signal wire and the CEL was gone. Now its time to log some data for tuneing.
