I would like to log the AEM EGT gauge in Evoscan but this is the only thread that has any fruition in the search.
VEMS makes an inexpensive Type K amplifier circuit that produces a 0-5V output:

You'll also need to purchase a Type K thermocouple. I bought the amplifier some time ago, but never got around wiring up EGT into the ECU. Maybe I'll do it soon.

That is a much cheaper option but i haven't found any information on any patches in regards to a certain unused input for this purpose

I already have a wideband so i would prefer not to have to take a hit selling it 2nd hand for cheap to have to buy the Zetronix. Though if push comes to shove i guess it's what i will have to do.

thanks for the help

You need to find an unused ADC input, or hijack a known one.

I am using a USDM Evo 8 ecu on an Evo 3 so there are quite a few inputs i am not using lol.

Honestly i am clueless as far as deciphering code to add to the xml to make it work, i assume i would then have to do some more trickery in Evoscan to log it.

Apologies if i am being thick but modifying rom's is outside of my grasp.

yes, VEMS EGT and amplifier works perfect ! For Logging EGT on ADC ecu input is right too, mabye a compensation or safety table for high egt in the rom would be nice . Like for AFR .

for tune cars, will buy one from Evoscan. The new Evoscan 2.9 software will be so cool !

EvoScan USB DLP-IO8 8 Channel 0-5v Input

I mentioned that analog signal reader to Hamish about a year ago (or more). Glad to see he is finally adding it as an option for EvoScan. Guess I'll have to go buy one.
