7 ECU -> 6.5 Car (EGR + EVAP CEL's)

Hi Guys,

I have a friend that is getting:
P0433 evap system purge control valve circuit.
P0403 EGR solenoid.

He has a 7 ECU in a 6.5 Evo, he is running 99860003 as his ROMID.

As the fix is it correct to change bit15 of Periphey2 (0xFCA) to 0?

This wont affect WOT fueling or anything will it?

Just checking

Cheers
D.

or set perephery FAA to 56D0 its the 3rd bit on the high byte to disable egr

interesting, 56D0 also turns off the immobiliser. Dave, I just usually turn the whole of FCA off and havent had any complications.

I am not surprised they dont, its just that hex bit turns the immobiliser off and thats the only thing I saw mapped on that one. I didnt realise it affected the EGR as well, I'll have to look closer at the periphery map worksheet I guess.

there is an EGR test on FAA but the roms iv seen dont have it enabled.when i converted my evo2 to an evo 8 4 plug ecu i had to disable ecu_perephery 2 FCA bit 15.which disables the P0403+P0443 CELs.im sure the 7 ecu is the same.
