My car will not idle

So i tried switching my car from a 94170008 Rom to the 96530006 rom in order to use the tephra patch, long story short it didnt work, flashed it back with the original rom i pulled of the ecu before the whole ordeal, now the car starts and runs as if nothing changed until its time to slow down or park the car will not idle just stumbles and falls flat on its face any help would be appreciated, need the car driving asap

log your ISCSteps when the car is warm.

you could possible need to adjust your BISS

in evoscan hit the "SAS Mode" actuator (once the car is warm) and then adjust your base idle screw (in the throttle body) until you get 800rpm +/- 50rpm on the tacho...

I have this same problem, that I will have to fix tomorrow... I loaded up a 9635006 rom today and it had some glitches, so I flashed back to 96940011. I readjusted the BISS but my idle is all screwy now and it looks as if the ISCsteps are really really confused as in what they wanna do...

What do the ISCSteps look like when they are normal?

try loooking at your stock rom (where idle was consistent and fine) and see what it has in there with respect to ISCsteps - then copy and paste

i dont have much experience tuning idle at all. seems like the most difficult thing to iron out when tuning, good luck!

Also you need to give the ecu time to "re-learn" how to idle again.......I had the same issue when switching a friend over to the 965 rom from 015 - the car did not want to idle once the clutch was depressed from driving, stalled every time.

So i thought maybe I missed something in the rom and flashed his 015 back on and it still did it, after about 30 min or more of driving/idling it was back to normal. So were going to try the 965 rom again now that I know it wasn't my error. The car just needed time to figure itself out.....

This car also has an intake which doesn't help and it has never liked to idle great - took me a while to tune the staling issue it had out. Also going to adjust the BISS and see if that helps at all.....
