Hard to shift at 8k rpm for my JDM Evo 9

Dear all Bros,

Thanks for reading. Is there any thing that the ECUflash can help in the voltage control of the gear shifting in 8k RPM? As i know that there is some control for the gearbox shifting in different rpm.. izzit?

Because my problem now is that it is very hard for me to shift in 8k RPM.

Thanks again.. and please help me.

my mod:
HKS Intake, complete HKS Ti exhaust system, Walbro 255, HKS EVC IV, HKS LA Clutch, Tomei 270, Tomei Valve spring, Tomei Ti retainer.

When you say it is hard for you to shift at 8k rpm, what does that mean exactly? What happens when you do shift? Is there physically some lockout or do you experience bucking when you shift hard, or is it something else?

Thanks for replying bro. It feels like something is preventing the gear from getting engage. For example, when I shifting at 8k rpm from 2nd gear to 3rd gear, once i press the clutch fully and then move the gear knob position from 2nd and to 3rd, the gear knob does not want to get into the 3rd gear position. Once the rpm drop to around 6k, then only can get it in.

When you start shifting at higher RPMs you will start burn up synchros. I got my trans built by www.teamrip.com He does a bunch of work to Hubs and sleeves and oil passages that most trans builders don't even touch. It will help the trans shift much smoother up top and prolong synchros life. Also Make sure your clutch is fully disengaging. That will hurt shift fast up top as well.

^agreed with awdboosted. This sounds like an issue with the tranny or the clutch. This does not sound like an issue the ECU could fix.

Good luck, saiyuke!

Sounds like you might be getting clutch lock-out too. What clutch are you running?

The first step would be to raise your clutch pedal engagement a bit so you get a longer throw on the pressure plate and to bleed the clutch hydraulic system.

The clutch is likely your issue and why your getting the high RPM gear lockout. Try adjusting the clutch rod out a little and see if it helps.

Then my next question would be does ACT make that clutch for HKS
