If you look at a stock rom you will see that there is timing added to the 60 load idle area.

At the 60 load you need to add a little timing to solve the stall with A/C on.

When the AC compressor kicks on the load on the engine increases to around 60. Thus the need to have a little more timing in this area.

In your case you may have a little too much timing.

How is your MIVEC timing in that area ? ? ?

Paul, 0.0 on the MIVEC.

Evoryder, 852 works very well for me here, I think it's because of the MIVEC.

Jason, Did you switch to v7 yet???

If you are still using the MIVEC settings you sent me....looks like it may be affecting the idle areas just a tad.

V7 is in. Yep, fixed that stuff in MIVEC too, 0.0's in the begining cells...Of course, I was testing the other settings out before, trial and error.

I don't think my revolver cams will allow that to happen. They can't run at anything below 1000 rpm. The car will stall every time.

I even went so far as to open the BISS to the point I can hear air hissing around it and activated SAS....still stalled.

What is the approximate base setting for the BISS? How many turns from full clockwise?
No just the idle setting I never changve the iscv tables.... sorry I haven't been around too much, I am in indiana visiting my gf's family, as her father just passed away. Along with that we are in transit to jacksonville, fl... my new duty station

Fellow military man eh? 18 yrs here.

I fully inderstand about being busy. As for your GF situation....Time heals all wounds.

I guess this thread has become, for a few of us, a personal chat thread now that we solved the cold idle/start issues.

I think I am in need of yet another BISS adjustment. Since making all of these changes my idle hunts by +/- 200 rpm when cold. The thing is, if my IAC is bad, it won't do me any good any how.

Jeff,.....That's great news! Guess it is time to get the meth flowing and turn up the boost to ohhh 33 ish. 500+ whp here you come. Let me know what I will owe you for shipping the IAC. I will give it a test....if mine is still good, I will send it back to you. If mine is bad....we can work out a payment. Thanks for your generosity.

Im noticing the same issue here... Everything is fine, except its "hunting/searching" a bit +/- 200 rpm while ~ 1/2 way thru warming up. Doesnt do it at first, waits a min. or so, then starts "searching". but goes away once warm... BISS is @ 850 (stock cams).

Exactly what I am seeing. I think it could be an ISCV setting is a tad too high in the cold areas.
