He's using Tephra so he'd have to be on an Evo ECU.

yes im running evo 8 ecu 96530006 option 5. is the boost solenoid needed for tuning? does the ecu use it for anything, other then allowing me to change boost pressures for higher rpms if im getting detonation?

If you don't use the boost solenoid then you'll only be able to run wastegate pressure.

No, I mean the physical ecu, not the rom file. If you have an evo 8 computer, then you can run a boost solenoid. If you are using a lancer ecu with the evo rom file in it...then no boost solenoid is possible.

Here is what i want
I have placed bigger injectors and i want to get accees to the syncload menu or acceleration enrichment (or so what something like that) in order to correct fuelling during pressing full throtle. with the 88580714 rom that i have installed too when pressing full throtle the car goes heavilly reach and then it corrects it self...i need to get access to that tables that corrects fuelling but i dont know how to do something like that...i saw that 88590715 rom does that but this rom doesnt works to my car...iam a litle bit confused.
Any sugestion tips or tricks will be a major help

Cheers

Sorry for the newb question but I just picked up an Evo and it has a v7 launch map but I'm not sure how to get the launch control to work, can anyone enlighten me on how to engage the launch control feature?

Fwiw I have compiled all the advanced fuel options in a v7 XML for 8858 if you look it's here. No need to switch to 8859!

Normal maps aren't used in V7. You need to convert them to bigmaps either by hand or by using a conversion tool that can be found on the forum (search bigmaps conversion)

Hey guys does anyone have an issue with the AC compressor not kicking on at idle but running fine when the car is moving? I can put power directly to the compressor and it kicks on fine. I posted this issue in the general forum and someone had chimed in and said he has been having this issue since flashing Tephra V7. I have been on nothing but so I wouldn't know any different.

I thought there was a way to turn the compressor on or off at idle but I haven't found it unless its a periphery bit not labeled.

Ok so I dug a little deeper and found a setting under the Periphery on ECU Periphery4 (FEA) Bits, Bit 11 shows P1530 A/C1 Switch. Is this what I'm looking for? Currently it shows a value of 1.

Are you sure your just not a little low on fluid? You have a high/low pressure switch. If the low pressure switch is hit, it will cut off the comp till pressure comes back up (usually at idle). Its usually the first sign of a a/c leak. A a/c pressure gauge or just a can of 134a will let you know. But also dont over fill as that will put you past the high pressure switch.

Disregard if this has already been checked.

I'm running tephra7 on a 2002 Lancer A/T ecu...so not necessarily. Tephra SD also works on my 2002 Sonata AT ecu . Hyundai used a Bosch MAF, so the ecu can't process the Hz of a mitsu one.
