Hi All,

I have a friend that has 2 Evo7's.

1 speedo isn't working, so he pulled the cluster out of the second car and put it in the first car.

no good.

now the good speedo doesn't work in the 2nd car either.

Any ideas?

yeah im getting the guy to log speed in evoscan

but the working cluster STOPPED working in the original car as well

Could a bad speed sensor cause a fault in the circuit causing it to break the cluster? Did both clusters not work on in the working car?

 

yeah don't know if the broken cluster worked in the good car.

I guess my main question is "can you swap clusters" without going to the dealer to get the cluster "updated" (except for millage obviously)

yes simple switch mileage changes with the cluster. at least JDM does
