Also, off topic. Does anybody know how to disable P0622 alternator F terminal?

Periphery2 bit 0 = 0, messes with the BaudRate/Protocol Selection Flags on some roms. Setting this back to 1 should allow CEL retrieval.

Don't know, but if you are going to do process of elimination, Periphery3, Bit 0 or 4, would be my best guess.

Thankyou ceddy. While I don't mind the "hack method" of shooting in the dark, having an educated starting point is always preferred.

On a follow up to the last part of my other question, does this disable routines also, or simply the test/CEL?

I'm speaking specifically of things like disabling the EGR/EVAP stuff changing the routine that changes timing at cruise or the EGR disable periphery that seems to cause cold start issues for some people, etc etc.

MrFred's Global Bit, only effects Perphery2 and 3, the CEL tests.

The actual emissions equipment control routines are controlled mostly by Perphery0, and are not effected by the Global bit.

Sorry if I'm dragging this out, I just want things to be clear.

I'm referring to this post (follow it back through the rabbit hole for more info)
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/7639580-post145.html

MrFred suggested that some routines were enabled/disabled by the FCA / P2 flags.

Ok so my guess is this is already common knowledge but the 05 evo 8 ecu does have the P0069 DTC cause I am having it lol.
