How do i patch big maps and launch maps to 94170015. I tryed v7 but with the issues i have using it its not worth it. If someone can post up the patches that would be assume.

To the best of my knowledge the big/launch maps are a part of the V7 patch and cannot run without it.
Maybe you should post your specific problems in the V7 forum and see if one of the guru's can help you out. I'm sure they can figure it out.

I really dont want to go v7 to much stuff i dont need. And untill all the bugs are worked out i wont be going with v7. I read somewhere on here there is a patch for big maps and launch maps.

 

I believe the patch deleted the low oct maps so you had one big map for fuel and timing.

Yes i have, really dont feel like going through the list of problems. Just want to do big maps and launch maps patches.

 

the whole point of 9417 v7 is to fix the pobs... its not just for 9417 sake... you dont like it go back to your old rom.. simple.

9653 had a GREAT deal of problems, that why appauldd and I worked and got a 9417 V7 Rom going.

As far as I know, 9417 V7 has lil to no problems compared to 9653. But maybe its because your running it on a 3G.

 

Its a evo8 ecu not a 3g ecu.

Anyways Im not going to v7 period. Half the stuff on it I wont use and with the problems i have with it, its pointless.

All i need is big maps and launch maps on a 94170015 regular rom.

This is exactly where I was at.

I hated 9653 V7 and there was no 9417 V7. All I wanted was BIGMAPS on a regular 9417 ROM. But it cant be done, thats why we worked towards a 9417 V7 Rom, which I use now. I also dont use many of the features, mainly CEl on knock and BIGMAPS.

If youd like help gettin 9417 V7 to work for you, I'd be glad to help you out.

 

There really isn't that much extra stuff if you want big maps and LC maps. Both are apart of Tephra's patch.

And so what? It only does that for ALt maps which the low ones are totally pointless!

 

boosted tuning. could you tell me some of the problems there was with the 9653?? i have a 2003 evo8 and im about to give up the SD crap as well. my issues are i was tuned in ohio and on the way home the car got worse. much richer. back firing under WOT and i get a very big lean condition ''i think thats it'' around 2k to 3500 rpm. i cant even get the car up my drive way cause it does out. also idle sucked. and it stalled at almost every light or stop.
